Player of the Week: Kingsley Nwagboso

Loreto College’s Kingsley Nwagboso has been named the EABL Player of the Week for games played during the week beginning March 31st 2014.

The 6’9″ Nwagboso had a 20 point, 20 rebound double double as Loreto overcame Myerscough 77-71 in overtime in a top of the table North Sea Conference clash that saw Loreto lock up the number one seed.

“I thought I played aggressively, especially on the boards,” said Nwagboso. “The team as a whole made some really big plays down the stretch. Give Myerscough credit though, they pushed us to the wire and have improved drastically since the start of the season.”

Nwagboso and Loreto are now preparing to face off against Gateway College, the fourth seed from the All Midlands Conference, in the opening round of the playoffs.

“I take every game as it comes and just try and play as hard as I can, I know that if the team plays to its potential, especially guys like Pharroh Gordon and Aaron Menzies, then we have a good chance of going the whole way,” concluded Nwagboso.
