EABL Week 3 Round Up

The 2014-15 EABL season moved into its third week on Wednesday, with a seven game slate, the majority of which were in the South.

North Conference

Milton Keynes College moved to the top of the North Conference at 3-0 with a 77-47 win over Loreto College. Reigning MVP Michael New Jr led four players in double figures, with 19 points, 11 rebounds, 8 assists and 7 steals.

Moulton were awarded a 30-0  victory over Tyne Met, who were unable to fulfil the fixture.

EABL North Conference Standings.

South Conference

SGS College also moved to 3-0 and atop of the South Conference, with an 80-48 win over Harefield Academy. SGS took a commanding 23-11 lead at the end of the 1st period and never looked back as England U18 Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye had 21 points, 4 assists and 5 rebounds in 20 minutes of play.

Copleston High School are in second place in the South (2-0), and came away with a 101-76 victory over Oaklands College, as Luke Mascall-Wright (36) and Sam Newman (29) combined for 65 points.

Itchen dominated Northfleet Tech over three quarters to beat the home team 88 – 49 to also remain undefeated at 2-0, behind 21 points from Charlie Coombes.

Ealing, Hammersmith & West London College also moved to 2-0, as they secured a 65-48 win over BHASVIC.

Henley College (1-1) picked up their first win of the season, with a 91-36 drubbing of SEEVIC (0-2). Matt Davis poured in 27 points in just 24 minutes of action.
