EABL Announces Partnership with Krossover Intelligence

Today Basketball England, the country’s governing body of basketball and Krossover, a leading video analysis, statistics and media company announce an official partnership. As part of the initiative, Krossover will provide game breakdown, video sharing and statistics along with custom highlights for the Elite Academy Basketball League (EABL) during the 2015-16 season.

The EABL is at the forefront of junior basketball in England, featuring the top Under-19 college programmes from across the country, along with a number of players who have gone on to receive athletic scholarships in the US and professional contracts in Europe.

“We’re incredibly excited to announce this partnership with Krossover,” said Charlie Ford, the Education & Satellite Clubs Manager for Basketball England.

“Everything we have been doing with the EABL is about pushing the envelope, providing an elite environment for players to progress with their basketball careers while in education, and this deal with Krossover will really take the league to the next level, not just from a coaching and analysis standpoint, but also as a league and player promotion tool.”

The EABL and its teams will use Krossover to evaluate game factors such as possession time, game efficiency ratings, player tendencies, season statistics and more. Krossover’s cloud-based platform will be a teaching tool for the EABL, as they review game clips and data online, share content with their players, and capture film on players.

In addition, Krossover will employ its newly launched automated highlight platform to generate custom content for the EABL, as well as top plays of the week and player highlight reels to use on its official site EABL.org and through it’s syndication partnership.

“Basketball is truly a global game, and Basketball England has proven to be an ambassador committed to growing participation among players of all ages. Krossover is excited to partner with Basketball England, and in particular the EABL, to activate that vision, and we are enthused to extend our footprint internationally”, said Eric Perugini, Vice President of Krossover.

“Launching our automated custom highlight tool with a brand like Basketball England and the EABL is another unique way to provide fans worldwide content on players and games to keep them engaged.”

Krossover will launch their service in full when the 2015-16 season tips off in September 2015, but will begin with the 2015 Final Four this weekend at UEL Sports Dock, in East London, where the top four teams left standing in the country will battle for the championship.
