EABL Week 6 Round Up

The sixth week of the 2017-18 EABL season ramped things up a bit, with six games and a number of big games and performances. Read on to find out what happened:

East Conference

In the East, Canterbury improved to 4-1 and climbed to second place in the table with a 89-60 win over BHASVIC (0-5). Jonathan Brown had 21 points to lead Canterbury, whilst Daniel Beard added 20 points and 14 rebounds against his former team.

John Madejski Academy (4-1) dominated early to pull out a 82-62 win over Itchen College (3-1). Adrian Nosa-Castillo had 21 points and 8 rebounds to lead JMA, whilst Matt Marsh had 18 points and 16 rebounds.

Copleston Sixth Form (1-4) picked up a 66-72 road win, their first victory of the season, over Oaklands College (1-5) behind a monster performance from big man Jonny Hall who went for 33 points and 14 rebounds.

West Conference

In the West, Charnwood kept their perfect record intact atop of the league table (4-0), with a 92-49 win over BMET James Watt College (2-3), behind 18 points from Sesan Russell.

Derby College/Noel Baker School (2-3) got the upset of the week, handing Myerscough (3-1) their first loss, with a 79-76 overtime win. Leighton Elliott-Sewell had a 20-point, 10-rebound double double to lead Derby.

Finally, AJ Edu went off for 29 points, 23 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and 4 blocks to lead SGS (2-3) to a 77-70 win over Loreto College (2-2).
