EABL Week 7 Round Up

The seventh week of the 2017-18 EABL left just one team standing undefeated. Read on to find out what happened:

East Conference

In the East, Barking Abbey kept on rolling with an 88-75 road win over Itchen College (3-2) to move to 5-0 at the top of the conference. BA were led by Ade Adebayo’s 28 points, as he came up big down the stretch with the visitors overcoming a monster 40-point outing from Aaron Berida

Canterbury stayed hot in second place, now 5-1, after taking down Copleston 83-50. Tunde Oyerinde had 24 points and 8 rebounds to lead Canterbury, with Elliot Bailey adding 15 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Copleston dropped to 1-5.

Two late free throws from Jose Morais gave Oaklands College (2-5) a 73-71 win over BHASVIC. 24 points,  8 rebounds and 5 assists from Enoch Quarcoo would not be enough for BHASVIC who fell to 0-6, whilst Jordan George led Oaklands with 21 points and 12 rebounds.

West Conference

In the West, a top of the table clash saw Myerscough take down Charnwood’s perfect record with a 78-66 come-from-behind win. Konrad Kantorski had 29 points, whilst Edoardo Del Cadia  had a monster 24-point, 21-rebound double-double. Sesan Russell finished with 25 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Both teams now sit at 5-1 in the West but Charnwood have the advantage on points difference.

Derby College/Noel Baker improved to 3-3 with a 63-51 victory over BMET James Watt College (2-4). Luke Ptak had 18 points and 6 steals to lead Derby.

Finally, Loreto College got an 84-60 win over Allerton High School who continue to look for their first win at 0-4.
