EABL Week 10 Round Up

The tenth week of the 2017-18 EABL season has taken place, with a packed nine-game schedule. Read on to find out what happened:

East Conference

In the East, Barking Abbey made it two wins from two, to climb to 9-0 atop of the table. On Monday, BA took down City of London Academy (5-3), 77-62, behind 16 points and 5 assists from Daniel Delgado and 16 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists from Ade Adebayo.

They then followed it up on Wednesday with a come-from-behind 90-80 victory over Canterbury High School (6-4), as Ade Adebayo had 22 points to lead six players into double digits.

CoLA were also in action twice, bouncing back with a 100-40 rout of Oaklands College (3-6) on Wednesday. Taiga Forster led CoLA with 18 points.

Itchen (5-4) survived a late rally from Copleston, pulling out a 64-56 win , as Aaron Berida finished with 17 points and 8 rebounds, whilst Ashley Briggs had a 13-point, 13-rebound double double along with 3 blocks.

 

John Madejski Academy (7-3) also bounced back from defeat, with a 90-56 win over BHASVIC (0-10), led by 19 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists and 7 steals from Adrian Nosa Castillo.

West Conference

In the West, Charnwood College (5-1) returned to action, registering a comfortable 104-49 win over Allerton City of Leeds. Liam Johnson had 16 points to lead a balanced team effort from Charnwood.

 

Myerscough stay hot on Charnwood’s heals also at 5-1, defeating Loreto (4-4) 73-60 behind 25 points from Konrad Kantorski.

Allerton (0-6) had a double-header week, having also suffered a 79-62 defeat at the hands of SGS College on Monday, behind 31 points from AJ Edu.

SGS (3-4) were also in action on Wednesday, unable to build upon the win with a 94-63 defeat at the hands of BMET James Watt College (3-5), as Daniel Penkov exploded for 35 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists, whilst David Stevic had 20 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals.
