EABL Week 11 Round Up

The eleventh week of the 2017-18 EABL season has taken place, with a six-game schedule. Read on to find out what happened:

East Conference

In the East, Barking Abbey became the first team to double-digit wins, improving to 10-0 with an 83-74 victory over Copleston (2-8), as Caleb Fuller led BA against his old team with 17 points.


Canterbury High School picked up a crucial 77-71 win over John Madejski Academy in the race for second place in the East, as both teams are now tied with a 7-4 record. Tunde Oyerinde had 18 of his 23 in the first half, while Jonathan Brown finished with 12 points, 8 rebounds and an EABL season-high 15 assists.

City of London Academy (6-3) got a 75-80 win over BHASVIC (0-11) behind a 24-point outing from Louis Norton, as they continue to fight for the final playoff spot.

Finally, Oaklands College (4-6) played spoiler to Itchen (5-5), securing an 84-75 victory, led by 23-a-piece from Jordan George and Wesley Moore, with the former adding 10 rebounds. Oaklands overcame a 28 point, 9 rebounds, 4 assist, 5 block outing from Ashley Briggs.

West Conference

In the West, both the top two teams were in action, both picking up wins to tie up their records.

Charnwood College (6-1) escaped with a 76-64 win over Loreto College (4-4), behind 17 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 8 steals from Sesan Russell, as they currently sit in first place.

Meanwhile, Myerscough (6-1) cruised to a 101-52 win over SGS College (3-6) with a 26 point outing for Mate Okros leading the way.
