EABL Week 13 Round Up

It was the penultimate game of the regular season in Week 13, with a jam-packed 12-game schedule.

Read on to find out what happened:

East Conference

In the East, Barking Abbey moved to 13-0 atop of the league table with the number one seed all locked up. On Thursday they pulled out a 79-51 win over City of London Academy (7-5), behind 20 points and 9 rebounds from Caleb Fuller, before a 89-58 win over Oaklands College (5-8) on Friday, as Ade Adebayo had 16 points.

Canterbury High School (9-4) remain in the second place spot, picking up a comprehensive 97-59 win over BHASVIC (0-12). Elliot Bailey led six players into double figures for Canterbury with 18 points and 8 rebounds.

City of London Academy had a double-header week, also facing Copleston to get an important 64-59 victory, behind a near triple double from Louis Norton-Cuffy. Norton-Cuffy went for 22 points, 13 rebounds and 8 steals, adding 3 assists for good measure.

Copleston and Oaklands faced off against each other to both have double-header weeks, with Oaklands getting a 95-82 win. Jordan George had 19 points and 10 rebounds, and Jose Morais 17 and 11 rebounds as Oaklands overcame a 29 point, 16 rebound game from Jonny Hall.

The final game in the East saw Baszi Dorman convert a layup with 4.4 seconds left to give Itchen (7-5) a 65-64 win over JMA (7-6). Itchen were led by 20 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists from Aaron Berida, 16 points and 19 rebounds from Matt Hughes and 11 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals from Ashley Briggs.

West Conference

In the West, the race for the number one seed could come down to the final game of the season, as Myerscough picked up three more wins to improve to 11-1 on the year.

First, they picked up a dominant 124-36 win over Allerton (0-10) with 20 points on 9/10 shooting from Callan Low, then picked up another 84-64 win over Allerton City of Leeds with 19 points from Edoardo Del Cadia in the reverse fixture, before avenging their only loss of the season to Derby College (6-5), with a 77-61 win behind 22 points from Konrad Kantorski,

Derby College also picked up a win against Allerton, being victorious 85-54 with 17 points from Luke Ptak, and 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 steals from Leighton Elliott-Sewell.

Loreto protected home court with a 78-55 win over SGS College (4-7), as Michael Anumba stuffed the stat-sheet on his way to 15 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals.

BMET James Watt (4-6) also picked up a dominant 113-53 win over Allerton.
