Player of the Week: Peter Turay

Peter Turay has been named EABL Player of the Week after his Itchen College side knocked off the previously undefeated Alec Reed Academy behind his 33 point and 18 rebound effort.
The 6’6″ centre’s performance was crucial in a 92-89 Week 7 victory for the Hampshire-based squad, as he added two assists, four steals and a block.
Turay spoke upon receiving the award, “I’m really pleased that my efforts have been recognised and ultimately that me and my team are performing at a high level. We now need to keep this momentum rolling for the remainder of the season.”
Itchen Coach Matt Guymon added, “This was an incredible performance from Peter at both ends of the floor. He got himself in great positions offensively which made help defense difficult and showed how much he wanted to win by dominating on the boards.”
