Player of the Week: Tosan Evbuomwan

Tosan Evbuomwan has been awarded the EABL Player of the Week after pacing Newcastle Eagles Academy with 22 points and 17 rebounds in their Week 6 win over Manchester Magic Academy.
The 6’7″ forward also added four assists and two blocks, in an effort that included making the game-winning and-one layup down the stretch, which saw the Eagles grab a narrow 74-73 victory.
Evbuomwan, who also recently picked up NBL Division One Player of the Week for Team Newcastle, said this, “I’m very appreciative and pleased to be awarded player of the week, following a strong performance from the whole team. Hopefully we can continue to build on this win, and put in even stronger performances as we progress.”
Newcastle Coach Ian Macleod added, “This week was a big step forward for us. Tosan is leading by example and in addition to his ability he epitomises what every coach wants from a player and every team needs. This award is thoroughly deserved.”
