EABL Player of Week 2 – Sam Grant

John Madejski Academy’s Sam Grant has received Player of the Week honours in the EABL for week 2 after playing a major role in JMA’s 113-71 win over Copleston High School.

Grant was absolutely dialled in from the floor as he shot 10/13 (4/6 3pt) for 26 points. Adding seven rebounds, including five on the offensive glass, plus three assists, an incredible six steals and a block, it is no surprise the 6’8″ wing clocked up an efficiency rating of 38.

Speaking about the award and JMA’s start to the season, Grant said:

“I’m really happy to receive this award so early on in the season and I’m thankful to my teammates for all their support. We had a good opening game and competed really well so we’re excited about the rest of the season.

“After a really busy summer, I feel in good shape and I’m hungry to work hard and improve and that’s what I’ll do with my team as the season progresses. Thank you to the EABL for this award and the great league they run for all the academies.”
