EABL Player of Week 5 – Josh Ijeh

The winner of this week’s EABL Player of the Week is James Watt College’s Josh Ijeh.

After helping JWC to stay undefeated on the season following a 64 – 55 win over Manchester Magic Academy, Ijeh was recognised for his 32 efficiency rating performance.

After shooting 5/10 for 14 points in a low scoring game, Ijeh pulled down a stunning 20 rebounds as a real inside presence in the contest. He also added an assist and a pair of blocks to his afternoon’s work to cap an impressive performance.

“I’m very honoured to be receiving the award this week,” said Ijeh. “I wouldn’t have gotten it without my coach pushing me to get more rebounds in the game and my teammates feeding me the ball when I was open. Glad we got the win and I look forward to the rest of the season.”

“This is a great achievement for Josh,” said head coach Steven Hansell. “We are extremely happy with how he’s progressing with us here at James Watt College. Josh is a hard worker who’s eager to learn and improve. He has a bright future.”
