Game Day Recap – Week 3

Week 3 of the EABL season is now completed with six fixtures to look over in our Game Day recap.

Myerscough College overpowered Derby 82-44 in the Northern Conference, with Franklin Agu leading the way for the hosts on 19 points. Sco’s Amari Williams and Mikey Irvine both had 12 in support.

Newcastle’s long trip south to SGS was in vain as the hosts claimed a 104-78 win. Guard Marvin Dinnall stayed hot for SGS to score 18 points with Louis Weaver adding 16 more. Sauveur Kande was once again in impressive form for the Eagles, he finished on 29 points.

In the Southern Conference, Canterbury Academy continued their unbeaten start to the season with a narrow 87-84 victory over Itchen College. In a highly entertaining contest, former EABL Player of the Week Will Raife scored 24 points for Canterbury as Taiga Forster went one better for Itchen, scoring 25.

Barking Abbey ran out 101-43 winners against USP College, keeping the London programme unbeaten at 3-0. 17 points from Edrick Okunola helped push BA to the win, whilst USP’s Demilola Adeyeye also scored 17.

Copleston got back to winning ways and took their record to 2-1 following a 103-73 victory over BHASVIC. Moyo Adekeye scored 20 points and filled the stat sheet to complete a rare triple-double for Copleston as Jacob Morgan led all scorers with 22. The in-form Lewis Jee had 18 for BHASVIC in reply.

Finally, John Madejski Academy kept their record spotless at 2-0 as the knocked off City of London Academy 83-61. The defeat moves CoLA down to 0-2 on the year.
