EABL Player of Week 13 – Ethan Price

Since his return from an early season injury, Copleston’s Ethan Price has been in unstoppable form and he’s been selected as our EABL Player of the Week.

In a huge contest against a strong John Madejski Academy side, Price needed to be at his best to push Copleston to an eventual 62-54 win. After the hosts lost guard Ben Winter to a head injury early on, the reigning EABL Southern Conference MVP stepped up and led his team to victory, putting on a do it all performance that displayed Price’s all round skill set.

The talented forward eventually finished with 27 points and 16 rebounds for a dominant double double, adding four assists, two steals and eight blocks for a final efficiency rating of 41.

“It’s great to win Player of the Week, it’s always a privilege to get this recognition,” said Price.

“But this was a total team effort. I am fortunate to play on a team that has so many players that are committed to doing whatever it takes for the team to win.

“This was a massive win and makes things really exciting doing into the second half of the team.”

“Ethan was exceptional, especially in taking charge once we lost Ben Winter,” added head coach Nick Drane.

“Ethan’s role is to lead the team and he was fantastic. But so were the rest of the guys – we don’t get this result unless the whole team do their job, and they did on Wednesday.

“It was a huge win against an excellent team.”
