Game Day Recap – Week 12

It’s been an entertaining day of EABL action with eight games spread across week 12.

Northern Conference leaders Myerscough remained unbeaten for another week as they defeated James Watt College 80-44. Bradley Kaboza top scored for the visitors, he had 16 points.

Charnwood secured a valuable win against local rivals Derby, coming out on top 87-78 in a close contest. Both teams had a 5-1 record before play began, and the Riders now sit alone in 2nd place as Derby drop to third.

In the battle between 5th and 6th it was Manchester Magic Academy that came out on top, beating SGS College 84-70. The win takes Manchester back to .500 on the season with a 4-4 record.

Newcastle’s difficult start to the season continued as Sheffield College enjoyed a 99-55 win in the North East. The victory was Sheffield’s 2nd of the season as the Eagles are still searching for their 1st W.

In the Southern Conference there was another win for Barking Abbey as they overcame Oaklands College 72-50. Ayo Amolegbe was the star man for BA as he scored 13 points, with Oaklands’ Toby Gastaldi-Davies recording a game high 19 points for Oaklands.

Canterbury Academy recorded an important win to halt their recent slide, beating City of London Academy 95-68. Alexander Vaughan top scored for Canterbury with a game high 21, Kavell Hawes putting up 13 points in reply.

A combined 51 points from Ethan Price and Jacob Morgan allowed Copleston to ease past USP College 96-55. Price bagged 26 points and Morgan had 25 as the visitors moved to 6-3, taking sole possession of 3rd place in the process.

Finally, Itchen managed to overcome a determined BHASVIC side 83-64, moving to 3-5 on the year. The hosts enjoyed 21 points from Taiga Forster and 20 more from Tyreese Hudson as Josh Last top scored for BHASVIC with 24 points.
