Game Day Recap – Week 16

It’s been a busy afternoon in the EABL, with seven game spread across the league. With a top of the table clash in both Conferences as Myerscough hosted Charnwood and Copleston went to Barking, there’s plenty to cover.

Myerscough moved into a strong position to claim the Northern Conference as they defeated rivals Charnwood 91-81. Despite a 10 point half time deficit, the North West side came roaring back to seal a valuable win, pushing their record to 11-0 in the process as Bradley Kaboza enjoyed 36 points.

Manchester Magic Academy took a big step towards a potential playoff spot as they defeated James Watt Academy 70-56. The road win was inspired by 22 points from Jason Ani, with Josh Ijeh scoring a game high 23 for JWC.

Sheffield College secured their 3rd win of the season following an 88-74 victory over SGS College. The result pulls Sheffield level in the standings with SGS in 6th place, Mahamud Ibrahim top scored for the hosts with an impressive 29 points.

In the Southern Conference, Barking continued their unbeaten run as they dispatched Copleston 79-59. Louis Norton enjoyed a game high 17 points for BA, moving them to 12-0 on the year. Ethan Price top scored for Copleston with 16.

JMA managed to navigate a tough trip to a resurgent Itchen, coming out 71-65 winners in a hard fought contest. Rockets’ guard David Chive provided an important 27 points, with Tyreese Hudson putting up 15 points for Itchen in reply.

Canterbury secured the double over BHASVIC with a 76-49 victory this afternoon. Chester Morrell enjoyed a game high 24 points for the Kent programme, with Lewis Jee top scoring for the BHASVIC on 15.

Finally, City of London managed to beat Oaklands 74-59 thanks to 15 points from Kavell Hawes. Andre Parker added 11 more for CoLA, as Oliver Wright scored 20 for the Wolves.
