2019/20 EABL Playoffs set to get underway

After an exciting and action packed regular season across the EABL, the 2019/20 playoffs are set to begin with four intriguing post season match ups.

Opening with the Elite Eight stage of the playoffs on 26 February, Northern Conference winners Myerscough are the #1 seed after enjoying an unbeaten season (14-0). They face the Southern Conference’s #4 seed Canterbury Academy (9-7).

Reigning champions Charnwood take the #2 seed after finishing the season with a 11-2 record in the regular season and will be hoping for some more playoff heroics when they face the South’s #3 seed Copleston High School (12-4).

James Watt College (12-3) take the North’s #3 spot and face a tricky test against the South’s #2 seed John Madejski Academy.

Manchester Magic (8-5) take the final #4 spot in the North and will take on last year’s runners up Barking Abbey (15-0). They earn the #1 seed after also dominating in the Southern Conference and will look to go one better this year.

The winners from the Elite Eight stage will battle it out in the Final Four contests, set to take place on 4 March.

Following a week off, the Academy Finals for the ABL, EABL and WEABL will take place at University of Essex Sport Arena on Wednesday 18 March.
