Summer Showcase – Team of Week 3

Six games filled the EABL slate in week three of the Summer Showcase, and players across the league took the opportunity to put on a show.

That meant there were plenty of candidates for Team of the Week, and narrowing the choice down to five was a tough task!

Sako was on a mission as Sheffield defeated Manchester 77-67, earning Player of the Week honours in the process.

Franklin was another that refused to go quietly, and his 15 point, 16 rebound double-double helped Myerscough crush Charnwood 85-51.

After a relatively slow start to the Showcase, Copleston’s Harry Gent exploded for 21 points and 11 boards in Copleston’s 79-78 W over Oaklands, shooting an efficient 10/15 in the process.

Sam Cheshire’s 21 point outing for James Watt were vital as the Birmingham side narrowly overcame Derby 69-67, a key performance in a low scoring contest.

Finally, Sam Grant continued his good summer form as he top scored in JMA’s win over Barking. The talented forward closed on 16 points, bringing his average to 18.0PPG across three appearances so far.
