Summer Showcase – Team of Week 5

There was a busy schedule across the EABL in week five, with six games spread across the country.

Still, more games means more opportunity for the stars of tomorrow to shine, and there was no shortage of standout moments as we selected another Team of the Week.

JMA forward Kivuvu Live was chosen as Player of the Week following a 26 point, 13 rebound double-double performance against Copleston, so slots straight into our Team of the Week.

Myerscough’s Great Osobor is a returning selection after recognition in week four. This time round he enjoyed a 26 point, 13 rebound, seven assist, five steal masterclass against James Watt, and was no doubt in with a shout of another Player of the Week nod before being beaten out by Live.

Malachi Boakye-Yiadom played an integral part in Manchester’s 81-53 victory over Newcastle, with the talented guard dropping 25 points to go with eight boards and five dimes.

There was a first selection of the year for Itchen’s Panos Karras, with the ever-present wing contributing 17 points and eight rebounds in a 74-64 home win over Barking.

Finally, Sheffield’s Hensy Sako is no stranger to honours, picking up multiple nods throughout the Summer Showcase. With 32 points plus 10 rebounds and seven steals, he was a straight forward choice for further recognition here.
