Summer Showcase – Team of Week 6

Week six was the busiest of the EABL Summer Showcase so far, with a whopping seven contests spread across the schedule.

As is always the case, picking just five standout performances was tough, but the results are in and congrats to all those chosen!

Canterbury star Kieran Farrell was an automatic selection as he nabbed Player of the Week honours, notching 28 points, nine rebounds and seven assists in the victory over Barking.

The only other South Pool selection was CoLA’s Kavell Hawes, who’s game-high 19 points helped the London side to best Oaklands College.

That leaves three selections from the North, with Manchester Magic Academy contributing not one, but two selections.

Malachi Boakye-Yiadom and Elgin Govan both impressed in the Magic’s win over Derby, with Boakye-Yiadom closing on 24 points, eight rebounds, four steals and three assists, and Govan adding 21 points, seven boards and a 3/6 effort from three-point range.

That leaves Sheffield’s Jamie McGrail to round things out, who’s 13 point, seven assist and eight steal near triple-double helped the Yorkshire programme to a W over Newcastle.
