Summer Showcase – Team of Week 7

The curtain may have fallen on the 2021 EABL Summer Showcase, but we still have one more Team of the Week to select, highlighting five more worthy performances.

It wasn’t easy, but it never is. Here are the players that stood out the most in week seven.

Canterbury’s Will Raife was an unsurprising choice for Player of the Week after his 30 points downed the previously unbeaten John Madejski College.

Raife was joined by Charnwood’s Kanu Gudza, who’s do-it-all effort of 18 points, six rebounds, seven assists and five steals was too much for SGS.

Ridley Shema also gets the nod, he had a game-high 22 points as Myerscough easily handled Sheffield to complete their Summer Showcase without a loss to their name.

Itchen’s Steve Nwagwu went 7/11 from the field against Copleston, dropping 18 points, three rebounds and four assists against the Suffolk side, making him a logical choice here.

Finally, CoLA’s Kavell Hawes goes back-to-back for his second successive Team of the Week selection. His strong performance last week was followed up by a team-high 15 points against Barking as the London side finished the Showcase on a high.
