EABL recap – 7 December

Four EABL fixtures took place this week as teams move towards the Christmas break.

The Sheffield College 94-63 Newcastle Eagles Academy

Dec Kom grabbed himself 33 points as Sheffield swept aside Newcastle.

Jason Holder also had a big game with 20 points and Isaac Askwith and Jermaine Wilson-Tra hit 11 apiece as the Yorkshire side picked up their second win of the season to go 2-5.

Eagles (1-7) are still searching for their second W. Joshua Osarenkhoe’s 24-point haul was the highlight for them as Jakey Weech and Favour Ajayi both scored 11.

BMET 68-94 SGS College

SGS cemented their spot at the top of the Northern Conference with a big win that moves them to 6-0.

Louie Tucker again excelled with 27 points while Jayden Edward (15) and Callum Smart (13) both chipped in with double-digit efforts.

The home side scored through Antwone Armstrong (16), Nektarious Papadopoulos (14) and Suwayd Francis (11).

Copleston High School 115-82 Oaklands College

Copleston racked up the biggest score of the week to see off Oaklands and grab their first win of the season.

Joe Thomas went to work to claim 35 points and 10 rebounds as Tyreese Perry-Huggins (25) and Bertie Hill (21) also had big games.

Ekene Obi (19) was the only player in double figures for Oaklands (2-4).

City of London Academy Southwark 66-56 Itchen College

CoLA picked up win No.4 of the season on the road at Itchen.

Di-Jani Parkinson was their top-scorer with a game-high 21 while Noah Myers (15) and Max Coupe (12) both hit double figures.

Itchen relied on Tyler Fairbairn’s 19 points and and 11 and 10 respectively from Leslie Okafor and Zak Missouri in a losing effort that leaves them 4-2.
