Canterbury Academy picks up an important win over Alec reed in Play Offs run. The visitors jumped of the blocks with quick starts fuelled by quick 11 points from Morrell (3 threes). The second quarter saw the away team putting their performance into next gear and pulling away with safe 53-29 lead. The host team responded by coming out of the changing room with much improved energy and reducing the lead to 16 points, but great shooting from outside the arch saw visitors pulling away again. Alec Read head coach said after the game: “Big credit for Canterbury for such a great shooting performance. Our defence was shocking to me as we failed to fulfil our goals from preparation. Lots to work on to make sure we close season right way.”
