Barking Abbey School vs BHASVIC

Barking Abbey School continued their unbeaten record in the EABL Southern Conference with a convincing 122-48 win over BHASVIC on Wednesday afternoon.

Barking started hot, opening up a 23-2 lead in the first five minutes of the game. They continued with their strong play as they won all four quarters, despite a BHASVIC fight-back in the second and third.

Thomas Sowoolu led the hosts with 19 points, pacing eight players who hit double digits as Jude Carmichael, Spyros Kapsalos, Oliver Malungo, Ayo Amolegbe, Ade Adebayo, Jordan Moses, and Cameron Nyarko all contributed in a balanced scoring output.

BHASVIC were led by Ben Hayward and Lucas Bitton who had 12 apiece, as Bitton knocked down four triples.

Barking Abbey Coach Lloyd Gardner commented, “I was pleased with how we started the game today. I thought we did an excellent job setting the tone early and getting the good start. That gave us some confidence for the rest of the game as we were able to play with freedom.”

Barking Abbey will be at home again next week as they host John Madejski Academy, whilst BHASVIC will welcome Oaklands College in Brighton.
