Barking Abbey vs Oaklands College

Barking triumph 82-57 over Oaklands College to maintain their lead at the top of the table.

Despite the commanding performance by Barking, Oaklands college continue to show their commitment to their brand of basketball and showed an improved performance this week. A strong start by Barking finished the 1st quarter 24-14. In the 2nd quarter wolves rallied to show they can compete with the best in moments, but Barking’s experience was evident as they finished the half 46-25

After the game, Toby Gastaldi-Davis thought his team could have done better: ‘”We had a good start and came out competing, but unfortunately we had moments where we let the game slip away and did not respond how we should. It is now vital that we bring that same intensity we started with and finished the game with for our next game away to JMA.”

Jordan Bogle showed glipses of his capability on both sides of the floor as he stepped up to finish the game with 12 points and 5 steals. Jordan Bogle was also supported with the scoring by Ola who had 10 points , Abdul and Simeon contributed 7. Barking were led by the talented Bedford who finished with 25 points followed by Moses and Mieliauskas 12 and 11 respectively.

Oaklands are away to JMA next week in what will be another tough test for the wolves, Whilst Barking host CoLA.
