BHASVIC were beaten by City of London Academy 52-94 in their match-up on Wednesday 1st March at BHASVIC College.
The first half was a close contest between two competitive sides. BHASVIC started well on offence, converting from beyond the arc with Gen Lindsay and Aaron King while working hard on defence, leading the first quarter 21-16.
In the second quarter, Gedi Juozapaitis, who ended up with 41 points, killed the home team with some impressive moves including three point shots and lay-ups and CoLA ended up leading 31-42 at the end of the second quarter.
In the second half, CoLA worked really hard to increase the difference on the score and BHASVIC tried to put into practice the way they can play, with Harry Baker continuing to give a great effort.
For CoLA, Gedi Juozapaitis hit more threes and Solomon Iluyomade played strong in the low post, pushing the final score to 52-94 at the end of the game.
Marco Sanchez, BHASVIC coach said:
“Again we played with a very good team. We tried to do our best and as a reward we were leading the score in the first quarter, which was one of our personal aims. Shout out to CoLA player Juozapaitis, who was able to score nearly 50% of the points. Maybe without him the game would have been different. And shout out to my guys as well, who despite having not achieved any wins, are still working very hard.”
Gen Lindsay, Harry Baker and Aaron King were the top 3 scorers for BHASVIC with 19, 9 and 7 respectively; and Gedi Juozapaitis, Solomon Iluyomade and Peter Turay, scored 41, 16 and 10 points respectively for City of London Academy.
CoLA will take on Itchen in their next game, whilst BHASVIC will take on JMA on March 8th.
