BHASVIC vs Ealing, Hammersmith & West London College

Ealing, Hammersmith & West London College came away with an 83-68 victory over BHASVIC on Wednesday afternoon, to climb to third place in the South West Conference.

Kevaun McKenzie had 24 points and Tyrell Isaacs added 15, as EHWLC avenged last season’s losses to BHASVIC.

“It was a physical, hard fought match with both teams even for most of the game,” said BHASVIC Head Coach Dave Goss after the game. “But in the end Ealing’s depth of bench won.”

Max Richardson had 28 points in vain for BHASVIC, Lucien Christofis had 17 and Nick Ballone finished with 12.

BHASVIC’s zone defence initially caused EHWLC some problems, and they pushed put to a 7 point lead. Three successive 3 pointers by Ealing brought the deficit back, and BHASVIC led 26-24 after the first quarter.

In the second, strong Ealing defence kicked in and BHASVIC could only manage 4 points in the period. Baskets from Ealing’s McKenzie and Dorni ensured the visitors led 32-41 at the half.

BHASVIC’s captain, Max Richardson scored 11 points in the third and their changing defences brought back the deficit to create a one point lead at 52-51 going into the lead.

A 3 pointer by Nick Ballone opened the scoring in the fourth, but successive turnovers and ill discipline on offence hurt Bhasvic, losing the lead at 63-67 with 3 minutes left.

The end game saw Bhasvic run out of steam, and Tyrell Isaacs sealed the game with a fast break dunk for Ealing to exact their revenge.
