City of London Academy 100 – 65 BHASVIC. It was a great offensive first quarter performance from both teams but it was CoLA who stepped up in the defensive department to seal the win.

Both teams traded baskets for the first 10 minutes including a combined 6 made from beyond the arc and 9pts personal from BHASVICS’ J. Last who finished with a team high 12pts.

The second quarter saw CoLA surpassing their offensive output of the first scoring 26pts by pounding the ball into there big men but it was Andre Parker who would score or find his shooters Will white and Oscar Leigh-Hales both cashed in with 3 pointers. Holding BHASVIC to 12 pts gave CoLA a half time lead of 14. 49-35.

The 3rd period started was more of the same from CoLA who put up 35pts with good ball movement playing inside and out giving Wilfred Santhe the freedom to drive and score the ball on his way to 13pts for the game and Ravi Hickman-Singh daylight to bury two 3 pointers including one on the buzzer to end the quarter 84-66 in favour of the home team.

BHASVIC fought tirelessly till the end with J. Chater scoring the final 5 pts leaving it all out on the floor.

CoLAs Assistant Coach Brian Nguru commented saying “I have to give the BHASVICs’ team respect as the score doesn’t reflect on how hard they fought throughout the game, our boys stayed focused from start to finish and we are very pleased with them”

Both teams play their last games of the season next week with CoLA hosting Barking Abbey and BHASVIC playing back to back games against Oaklands.
