Copleston High School vs BHASVIC

Copleston High School made it three wins in a row in the EABL Southern Conference, running out comfortable winners against a much improved BHASVIC team, as they eventually won the game 79-54.

The home side were led by 25 points from Veron Eze, while Ethan Price, coming off back-to-back Player of the Week awards, added 20.

Copleston exploded out of the blocks, winning the first period 25-7, and never really looked back. BHASVIC made multiple runs in the game, while all ten of the Ipswich academy players enjoyed extended playing time and made a solid contributions.

BHASVIC were led by Ben Hayward who collected 17 points, supported by Lucas Bitton with 9 and Joseph Agbara who added 8. Jacob Morgan also got into double figures for Copleston with 11 points.

“I thought we started the game really well, with good energy and focus. However, after building such a healthy lead I think we took our foot off the gas. It was great to get everyone some extended playing time and we are getting used to playing without Ben, which is going to take some time,” Said Copleston Coach Nick Drane.

“We got the win, and that’s important – but we need to be better,” added Copleston guard Emmanuel Onwuka.

Copleston have a week off for half term, after which they are on the road to SEEVIC College, while BHASVIC host Oaklands in their next game.
