JMA were able to trim the lead to 15 midway through the fourth but that was as close as the game would get as Itchen would run out winners 89-65.

“I was very impressed with our guys focus throughout the game as we were able to execute at both ends of the floor,” said Itchen Head Coach Matt Guymon.

“Credit to JMA who pushed us for 40 minutes without the services of influential forward Fidel Gomez Enterria & point guard Bikram Rana.”

Itchen were led by Sam van Oostrum’s 25, Adam Riabi with 13, and Rael Williams, Vaughan Browne, Ash Briggs with 10 each.

Ali Sbai led JMA with 22, whilst Ibu Jassey Demba had 14, Perez Baena 8.
