Ivybridge Community College vs Ealing, Hammersmith & West London College

Ivybridge Academy dropped a tough game against Ealing, Hammersmith and West London College at home, 65-76, on Wednesday afternoon.

Ivybridge Acacdemy came out of the gates hot behind the three point arc – led by Charlie Coombs and Tristan Hall. The second and third quarters were controlled by center Tom Elliot-Smith as he took advantage of a small matchup.

However, the game stayed tight well into the fourth quarter due to poor transition defense by Ivybridge and good finishing at the basket from EHWLC. Despite a flurry of turnovers created by Ivybridge in the final minutes of the game, they eventually suffered their first loss at home.

“It was extremely disappointing to come out of the game with a loss,” said coach David Brock. EHWLC are a good team with some very good players, and we thought we had them, but their experience told in the end and over the course of the game, probably deserved the win.”.
