Myerscough College v Manchester Magic Academy

Mate Okros scored 18 points and Callan Low added 17 and Myerscough ended the EABL regular season with a 79-52 win over Manchester on Wednesday. Bradley Kaboza finished with 13 points and Lewis McGlasson had 12 for Myerscough (12-2), which heads into postseason play as the No. 2 seed.

“Manchester did well in the first half to make things difficult for us,” said Myerscough coach Neal Hopkins. “We were much improved in the second half and it will help with momentum as we approach the playoffs.”

Myerscough outscored Manchester 40-13 in the second half after the two had played to a 39-all stalemate at halftime. Okros muscled his way to the basket on numerous occasions and a driving layup gave Myerscough a 53-45 lead with 2:23 to go in the third quarter. Manchester, who was forced into a timeout, however, wouldn’t threaten.

Ty Jordan led Manchester (6-8) with 17 points. whilst Malachai Boakye-Yiadom and Josh Grant both added 11 in the loss.
