Myerscough College vs James Watt College
- Updated: October 9, 2018
Lewis McGlasson hit four 3-pointers en route to a game-high 16 points and Myerscough raced past James Watt College 96-52 to open its EABL Conference title defence with a win.
McGlasson scored 13-straight points, which spanned either side of the first and second quarters, to cap off a 22-7 burst to open the game and James Watt never threatened.
“Everyone knows Lewis’ credentials in terms of being a 3-point player. He’s a great offensive player and today he gave us a spark which we needed,” said Myerscough coach Neal Hopkins.
Sanmi Fajana would knock down a 3-pointer out of the break, with Myerscough using a 13-0 run to extend its advantage. Callan Low and Sam Keita each added 12 points and Jamie Gray finished with 11 for Myerscough (1-0).
Myerscough received contributions from 11 of its 12 players, who all reached at least four points. Connor Lynch led James Watt (1-1) with 15 points and Daniel Penkov had 14 in the loss.
Myerscough hosts SGS College next Wednesday whilst James Watt is off until it visits Sheffield on Nov. 7.
