All Saints Academy vs Birmingham Met

All Saints Academy improved to .500 on Wednesday, at 2-2, with a 68-60 victory over Birmingham Met.

The win, led by Eddie Brownell’s 17 points, sees All Saints climb to fourth in All Midlands Conference, with Birmingham Met dropping to sixth at 1-4.

“It was an ok performance from All Saints,” said their injured player Marcus Welsh who sat on the bench throughout the game. “We didn’t play to our full ability and struggled at times to finish. This gives us something to work on in practice.”

The game was a hard fought game throughout and remained close from the start with All Saints edging the first quarter 12- 9. The second quarter followed much the same with both team struggling to find the basket and half time finished 27 -18.

Although Birmingham finished strong and narrowed the gap to 8, All Saints just did enough to hold on to the lead.

Birmingham were led by 1997 born’s Simone Federici with 14 points.
