SGS College v Charnwood Academy

Charnwood College continued their undefeated season with a comfortable 91-53 win away to SGS College.

Charnwood took the initiative early with a wide spread of scoring to led by 10 at the end of the first. SGS made a strong start after the interval, including a 3 point play by Sam Chigbo to cut the deficit to 5 points. From there Charnwood regained full control behind Sagna, leading the way with 9 in the quarter. Charnwood continued to extend their lead throughout the game despite a spirited last quarter from SGS.

First year SGS player Eoin Goring said: “We showed some good spells during the game. We just need to keep working on consistency with the small details”

Sagna top scored for Charnwood with 26 while Sam Chigbo had 14 for SGS.

Next week SGS are at home again to take on Sheffield College while Charnwood look to remain undefeated away to Manchester Magic Academy.
