SGS College 99 v 72 The Sheffield College

SGS College picked up their second win of the season with a 99 – 72 win at home to Sheffield College.

SGS had the slight advantage in the opening exchanges to lead by 6 at the quarter before a 15-5 run to start the second extended an advantage that wouldn’t be relinquished for the remainder of the game.

SGS were up 55-46 at the half and Sheffield fought hard in the 3rd to cut the deficit to 14. The home team went on to regain control in the final quarter, limiting their opponents to 10 points before sealing the win.

Nassim Ladjimi led all scorers for SGS with 21 and was supported by Browne and Dinnall with 15 each. Sheffield Captain Tom Morey had 16 to lead the scoring for the visitors.

Second year SGS guard Maciej Gniady, said: “We showed the good things we’re capable off when we play together as a team. We need to keep working to become even more consistent in preparation for the upcoming games.”

Sheffield are on the road again next week away to Charnwood College while SGS return to action away to Myerscough on the 6th November.
