SGS College vs James Watt College

James Watt College had a strong start to the season with a 45-77 win away at SGS College.

The game was close throughout the first half and ended with just four points separating the teams. James Watt exploded in the third with 15 unanswered points to start the quarter, with much of the damage done by Luke Caulwell and Richardson. They went on to extend the lead further in the fourth for the comfortable win.

“It was a tough first game for us,” said SGS captain Ethan Malschuk.

“There were definitely some positives and we just need to continue to work on developing the consistency required to compete at this level.”

Samuels finished with 18 points for James Watt with Luke Caulwell finishing close behind with 17. SGS were led by Louis Weaver with 13 points.

Both teams continue their seasons next week on Wednesday 3 October with James Watt on the road again, this time visiting Derby College, while SGS make the long trip to Newcastle Eagles Academy.
