The Sheffield College v Myerscough College

A strong second half saw Myerscough take a 66-103 road win at The Sheffield College.

Myerscough started the game the stronger and were able to attack the basket and draw early fouls from Sheffield College’s starters. From there, Myerscough continued to press and grabbed a 10 point lead going into the second quarter. An injury to Myerscoughs Ben Gordos saw a delay in play and Sheffield College would start the better following the restart, winning a narrow second quarter 21-20.

Seven players hit double figures in the game as Myerscough moved out to a 21 point lead as the fourth quarter began and from there the visitors never looked back. Myerscough stepped up the intensity in the second half, limiting Sheffield to 14 points in both the 3rd and 4th quarters. Myerscough were led by Jamie Gray who finished with 18 for the visitors, while Sheffield were paced by Harrison Bell who finished with 19 for the hosts.

Next week sees Myerscough host Derby whilst Sheffield face a trip to SGS.
