EABL Player of the Week – 10 November 2021

The EABL season is showing no signs of slowing down as teams continue their mission to reach next year’s playoffs. With the early going now behind us, programmes are into the meat of their schedule and eager to push on.

After helping to make it three wins out of three for The Sheffield College, Charles Okafor is our latest EABL Player of the Week.

Okafor’s performance allowed his side topple the always competitive Myerscough, handing the North West programme their first defeat of the season as Sheffield won 81-75.

The talented forward put together a huge 18 point, 18 rebound double-double, tacking on three steals and an assist for a final efficiency rating of 27.

His highlights can be seen from the post below.

Discussing the performance, Okafor said: “I’m ecstatic to be named Player of the Week!

“It wouldn’t have been possible without the support of my teammates and coaches. I performed well, but I need to improve my efficiency further in the upcoming games.

“I believe we have one of the best teams in England and we are eager to demonstrate it.”

Sheffield’s head coach Brad Connor added: “It was a great individual performance from Charles who was a dominant force at both ends of the court.

“His development over the last three months has been fantastic and he is now proving he can be one of the top players in the league.”
