EABL recap – 14 December

Just two EABL fixtures took place this week as teams wrapped things up for 2022.

Charnwood College Riders 92-77 BMET

Charnwood ended their year in style as they dropped just under a century of points on Birmingham Met.

Riders were able to call upon Lukas Masitis, (17pts) Edward Oniya, (13) Lamarana Diallo (11) and Lewis Gleason (11) who all ended their 2022 in the EABL with double-digit hauls.

But the star of the show will feel unfortunate to end up on the losing side as
Miles Moore went big with a game-high 33 points.

BMET’s Nektarious Papadopoulou (15) Josh White (12) also impressed but it wouldn’t to be enough as Riders move to 4-0 for the season, while BMET remain rooted at the bottom of the Northern Conference heading into the New Year.

The Canterbury Academy 32-58 City of London Academy – Southwark

CoLA ended their year with a low-scoring win on the road as they keep things interesting at the top of the Southern Conference.

Clemson Edomwonyin hit a game-high 15 points for CoLA, while teammate Di-Jani Parkinson helped his side with a further eight of his own.

Canterbury’s Michael Gildenhard top-scored for his side with eight points.

The win gives CoLA some breathing space between themselves and Canterbury, who now sit six points below them in the Southern Conference.
